  • Dilmah Conservation initiates Sri Lanka’s first Climate Change Research Station

In line with 2014’s global focus on the impacts of climate change on Small Island Developing Nations, Dilmah Conservation initiated Sri Lanka’s first dedicated and specialised Climate Change Research Station by the private sector in Dilmah’s Queensberry Estate in Nawalapitiya. As an island, Sri Lanka is particularly vulnerable to these changes as made apparent by the severe weather which has been experienced as of late. This pioneering effort will serve as a valuable resource for Sri Lanka’s scientific community to contribute to the study of climate change.
