Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden initiative was aimed at conserving Sri Lanka’s butterflies by creating urban sanctuaries for learning more about these elusive, delicate creatures and their significance as well as the various environmental pressures affecting them. The butterfly garden established at the Moratuwa MJF Centre is presently home to over 50 stunning species of butterfly out of the 245 recorded in Sri Lanka.
