Much branched tree. Bark is light brown to grey with vertically parallel cracks. Leaves are closely packed with short petioles, rough, about 1.25 - 5 cm long and 0.6 - 2.7 cm broad, variable in shape but mostly elliptic to oblong with a tapered base, notched tip, and a margin slightly teethed towards the apex (leaf tip), often roll downwards when mature. Midrib and petiole appear in dark purple. Inflorescence with greenish-white very small flowers. Fruit globular, oneseeded with a fleshy coat.
