Leaves are dull green, paler beneath, alternately arranged, butterfly-like, segmented into two oval-shaped lobes to about 1/3 of the way down from the base, each about 2-5 cm long and 2-7.5 cm broad at its widest, with veins radiating from the base. Flowers are small, about 1.5–2 cm, yellowish white or greenish white, borne in clusters. The fruit is a thin, wrinkled pod about 12–25 cm long and 2 cm wide.

Native. Ornamental tree. Young branches are preferred by elephants.
