A scrambling leafy shrub with wide spreadingbranches. Leaves are 2-9.5 X 1-4 cm, crowded atthe ends of twigs. Leaves are simple,alternate, oval, oblong-oval or obovate-oval, tapering to base. Flowers terminal in theupper axils, rather large, 2.5 -3.75 cm diameter. 5 petals in a flower. Fruit is drupaceous and 8-10 celled with 2-4 seeds
