A Kolombuwa is a short wood bench used for sitting. A Kolombuwa is used to be seated while vegetables and greens are being slashed. When village women do the slashing, they are seated on a Kolombuwa, clutch a knife between two feet and slash vegetables and greens. The slashed crumbs get collected on a Wattiya placed under the knife. The Kolombuwa is also used to be seated when taking meals.
