Danduvata is a sturdy wood fence that is set up around a cultivated land such as a paddy field or a Chena land.
Keeps animals away from paddy and other crop
Branches and trunks of trees collected when clearing land for Chena are stacked together and tied to create the Danduvata. A wood gate is also set in a selected place to allow farmers entry. The Danduvata is a sturdy structure and cannot be toppled or broken by wild animals.
