Pottery making at Mankada
The Mankada Pottery centre was set up to support poor communities living in and around the Udawalawe National Park in South Eastern Sri Lanka. The Centre produces pottery ware, decorative casts of animal footprints, replicas of animals, pendants and other fashion jewellry and serves traditional Sri Lankan food. See wild baby elephants in their natural habitat when you visit the ETH, set up especially to provide a second home for orphaned elephant cubs. The ETH situated within the Udawalwe National Park in South Eastern Sri Lanka, carries out a successful rehabilitation programme for elephant cubs that have lost their mothers.
